| “With
Gary's expert guidance I booked the lead in a FOX comedy pilot,
then one on CBS, then recurring roles on HBO's "Big Love,"
and "How I Met Your Mother" and now a lead in an NBC
pilot. Gary is without question the best teacher of any discipline
I’ve had in my life.” ~ Ben Koldyke |

| “Imagine
an artistic environment where failure is not a possibility.
Where the focus is on your creative spirit and what moves you
as an artist. Where artistic expression and creativity are nurtured
and valued. That is what I have found at the Professional Artists
Workshop.” ~ Rick Simone |
|
| “Couldn’t
have done it without you Gary” ~ John Quale/Prince Poppycock,
hit contestant on America’s Got Talent on the character
he created in Gary’s Musical Artists Workshop |
|
| “It
all started with doing an audition exercise in Gary’s
class. With the helpful feedback he gave me, I booked Beehive
at the El Portal. That show & it's cast went on to be nominated
for both the LADCC Award & the Ovation Awards.” ~

| "Since
being back in class, I have booked and shot a pilot, a film,
a national Pizza Hut commercial, landed a lead role in my favorite
musical, I have produced and starred in my own musical, College
The Musical (CollegeTheMusical.net), now touring colleges across
the country, AND I just signed a recording contract for the
comedy songs I have written and worked on in class!"~ Kelly

| "Work
makes Work. The harder I work in class the crisper my auditions
turn out. Being a part of The Professional Artist Workshop has
helped me hit the mark over and over. I go to auditions with
name actors, and Casting Directors continue to call me in, and
it is because of the freedom I have in Gary's class. Since being
in class I have booked the lead in a great comedy web series,
"Cold Call." ~ Larry Varanelli |
|
| "I've
been inspired to constantly improve my work and my work ethic
in Gary's classes. His intelligent, insightful and effective
teaching has helped me get to a place artistically where I am
currently playing Charlie Brown in Snoopy and recently
played the title role in a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth.
His belief in my talent and his uncanny ability to patiently
coax that talent out of me has enabled me to get farther along
towards the accomplishment of my dreams than I ever thought
possible."” ~ Travis Terry

| "Through
his teaching, I have discovered many new things about myself,
not only as an actor and singer, but as a writer and director,
two things I NEVER thought I would do." ~ Linda Smith |
 |
| “Gary
is all about teaching us how to think for ourselves and ask
the next question in order for our work to be the best it can
be. Because of what I have learned in class, I have directed
two very successful, critically acclaimed plays: a one man show
called Did You Do Your Homework? and a play called Cannibals
at the Zephyr.” ~ Kathleen Rubin |
|
| “Gary’s
class has offered me a safe, stimulating artistic environment
to practice my craft. With the assistance of his teaching, I
continue to grow as an artist and get ever closer to my professional
goals. Some of the steps have included booking guest artist
roles and getting call backs for Broadway touring companies.”

| “I've
been in a lot of acting classes, and I have a minor in theater,
but it wasn't until I started with Gary’s classes that
I was encouraged to actually produce. Since studying with Gary,
I've been in a TV series, a major motion picture, and produced
my own one woman show. Gary’s classes have genuinely changed
my life, I'm now doing all of the things that I once only dreamed
of.” ~ Jody Vaclav |
|
| “I
booked a role opposite Eddie Izzard & Minnie Driver on The
Riches, directed and starred in Fat Girls, the Musical,
sang a duet with Greg Walker (formerly of Santana), and starred
in Nunsense.” ~ Jackie Levy |

“Gary
encouraged me to join class when I came one day as a cello accompanist
for another student and confessed my dream to do musical theatre.
Through Gary’s intuitive, encouraging, celebratory style,
and the supportive nature of the class, I have recently played
some of my dream roles including Maria in The Sound of Music,
Eliza in My Fair Lady and Grace in Annie.
And I have also revitalized my cello career as a recording artist
and live band and musicals musician. Thanks to Gary I no longer
dream about my dreams, I’m doing them.
